LUNA

Saying "HI" to the doves!

WE introduce to you our wonderful girl, Luna. She's happy and loyal and a real lover! Being the best traveler of all our kids - we take her everywhere around town when we can. Luna has a beautiful stance and has what we see as the Japanese Akita eyes. Her weight is approximately 77 pounds but solid and muscular. Her demeanor is kind and nurturing and attentive to her masters. She is quick to respond to a return call when she is out running the land and loves to please her human pack leaders more than most Akitas wish to do. She is quite Lab-like in her demeanor, crawling up on laps and wanting to snuggle, almost like a cat. She is a great girl! She is very people friendly and most of the time - she ignores the barks from other dogs even those here at home. Squirrels and chipmunks don't have a chance with this girl - but she has learned to respect the pet rabbit and the pet doves we have on the property. She simply likes to look at them and they - the doves - don't mind saying hi back!!! It's amazing to see these two types of animals having so much tolerance for each other. In all, we're so happy to have Luna and thank our sister for allowing us to adopt Luna and enter her into our breeding program at Rodriguez Hill Aktias. So, thanks - Shelly! We're having a great time with our girl!
